Wah, I can't sleep. I fell asleep watching Middlemarch around midnight but woke up again around 12:45 and haven't been able to get back to sleep.

And I really want to get up early for an errand. Phooiee.

What do you do to get back to sleep in this situation?

Also I saw a giant rat walking home from rideau centre, near the stairway on the bridge that leads to the park. It was horrifying and I bet about to drop a litter.

I mean while walking home, I don't know where the rat was headed.

Man I love living alone. I think yesterday I was a little lonely, after so much company. But today it feels luxurious.

I am being lazy for no reason. And very hungry for no reason.

I must at least change the blown out light bulb in the kitchen now that I am not afraid to stand on a ladder.

Current Mood: chipper

I've been feeling kind of chipper lately. Maybe it's because I started fiddling with my hormones again. That being said I ate a bag of cookies and five chocolate bars in four days and my boobs hurt. Ow. But I seem to be over the starving- all I want to eat is butter bacon and chocolate stage and am back on coffee and vitamins! Um... and brown rice and greens. And chicken salad with avocado on pecan bread. And lot more salad, salad in a bag but I still like it.

Daylight savings time helped too.

Thank goodness for daylight savings time. I like waking up to light.

I got up at six today and walked the dogs with no shortness of breath or dizziness. Yay! I really am better. Happy dance of virus vanquishing.

oh man, I ate too much beef.  I'm dumb.

Posted on 2009.11.06 at 09:59

I have a nasty cough and I get sweaty and clammy when I do carrying chores. Y'know fetching water from the well, getting fire wood. Okay bringing home organic juice and schlepping my damn laundry around. Other than that I'm feeling mostly better. My appetite is back and all I want to eat is red meat. Mmmm...

I mailed some forms, paid rent and did groceries this morning all before 9:30 a.m.

I did kind of silly groceries... I may have to go back and get the other half of the stuff I need. I should go get my haircut. I hate getting my hair cut.

And I need to deal with student loans again, but I think I'll procrastinate until Monday.

Oh hey also the city delivered green boxes to my street this week, yours too? I hope my box doesn't get stolen or tampered with given that we have no common space or garage for our recyling/garbage and now compost. Still I'm excited about the green box program. Wheeee. Wish it started now instead of January. Especially since centretown is filled with smashed pumpkins.

I sort of miss James. He often use to visit me after zombie walk and annoy me by leaving make up on my pillow.

This morning's walk with the dogs was lovely.

Current Mood: determined

So in my quarantine I played a terrible computer game, that wasn't even fun! It was like some kind of joke. A joke on nerds. Let's make the game play glitchy, the characters annoying and the sequel inferior to the expansion of the original.

Argh. But it was free. And it plays on my new computer. So I shouldn't complain too much. Except trying to kill lichs and elite vampires in bed has done a number on my back. I should have read a book.

I'm reading Pendennis but man does it suck. I'm getting almost nothing from it but I can't abandon it. A book pretty much has to feature filthy violence for no reason for me to put it down. Although I did abandon Cranford, which was near as I can tell is about country village parsimony. Parts of Judi Dench's performance made me cry in the miniseries however, she crushed it.

For some reason simon and I watched Elizabeth the golden age. Well the reason being Cate Blanchett. And I remarked that she doesn't seem very smart in interviews. Which was perhaps unfair, in the interviews I've seen her in she was just happy. It would be nice if she was witty and ironical and told excellent anecdotes but y'know, she's a genius as an actor and a peach. That's good enough.

So we watched the inside the actor's studio featuring her. She's very thoroughly trained and can talk about technique admirably. I love her oversized ears. Then I watched the Hugh Jackman one, my god. That man. I just like looking at him and listening to him. I really can't say I've loved him as anything other than Wolverine but wow. The boy from Oz clips they showed were impressive.

Then having listened to Simon's complaints about James Lipton I watched the Conan O'brien one. That shit was funny. He made a lot of fun of Lipton. Then the Ricky Gervais one. I'm not really a big fan of Ricky Gervais although I watched all of the office and extras. I did some fast forwarding in extras. I don't like his podcasts but he is good in interviews and at the emmys. He's really good at the emmys.

So... that's how I've been killing time, for the most part. It's confirmed for me that I don't like Jude Apatow, Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen as comedians or writers. Well Seth and Jonah's performances are okay as long as it isn't their own writing. It's just that they are leaking onto the simpsons and all kinds of comedy genres.

I liked the first two episodes of season 4 of 30 rock but not the third. I mean parts of it but not overall. I like the searching for a new cast member plot though.

My lungs feel kind of singed, I think I overdid it on the camphor.

Simon posted that he can't get this out if his head.  Now I can't either.

Having a cold, I wish every other news story wasn't about H1N1.  I might have to impose a media blackout until my sniffles go away.

Soup was good, I made it with turkey.  Mmmm... turkey.

I've got some kind of cough, wheezing thing.  It's not getting any worse, thank goodness.

I forgot about buckley's tablets.  I think that will suffice to get me back on my feet.  I'm making gingery soup...

When i unscreen comments they seem to disappear :(

Ah it's all raining and cool out. It makes snuggling into bed all the nicer.

I really miss having neighbourhood friends. And nighthawk friends. I was spoiled.

Posted on 2009.10.20 at 01:48

I planned to go to bed at midnight and wake up at 7 a.m. Whooops. Well, since I've botched that plan, I might as well enjoy staying up obscenely late....

Seems like nipples are back in fashion on runways.  Yay!

Posted on 2009.10.06 at 00:53

I had a crummy day. There's no sugar coating it.

Sigh. Now I have bad day hang over.

I'm watching Damages. It's dreadful. But Glenn Close is in it, so it's hard to stop.

But man, that's some lazy writing.

What it's color me Badd and Montell Jordan on Acafellas? Not Boys II Men.  I can't recognize any of these songs.  Thankfully the internet let's me look this stuff up.  Also Glee airs Wednesday not Tuesdays, and so many shows don't start until October.  Pout.
